YA fantasy, 89K
Wasn't really expecting a match on this one. But you never know, so I had to try.

That happened the last time she opened to queries - for the first few days (when I submitted), she only asked for the first 20 pages, but at some point after, she broadened it to the full. Don’t think only submitting those opening chapters will discount you, though! She ended up requesting my full & even though she didn’t offer rep, it was very, very close. So don’t lose hope…you still have a chance! :-)

Check out Mary's June 30 blog post about why she's asking for fulls to be uploaded now for everyone who queries her. I LOVE this idea and wish more agents would do it. I queried on Aug 16 and got a lovely, possibly personalized, rejection on Aug. 23. ("This has potential, it's a great pitch. However, my editorial vision for it didn't coalesce, so I suspect I'm not the right agent for it at this time.") Counting it as a champagne rejection :)

@Whitegardenia I did the same. I left my submission alone with the 20 page sample because I didn't want to mess up Mary's workflow. I'm guessing there is a reason she sometimes asks for fulls and sometimes the first 20. Maybe she's still deciding which method works best for her?
