It's complicated but in my defense (or insane lack of it), I embarrassingly absolutely fumbled it on this query. Never been so glad to get a standard rejection (and in a timely manner) instead of putting any more salt in the wound, LOL. Anyways, this is the form rejection:
"Thanks for writing me and letting me take a look at TITLE. I apologize for the form letter, but the volume of query letters I receive makes it impossible to send personal responses to every writer.
Unfortunately, I must pass on your material. I realize it is difficult to judge your potential from a query and first five pages alone, but please know that I give serious attention to every letter and writing sample I receive.
